Just after I had "Little" my mom found this photo of my Dad wearing my little brother back in 1981. My brother was around 1 year old and my parents had one of the original Sungli's made out of a blue corduroy.
Now that "Little" is almost 1 year old I made a trip back to see my parents for a few weeks in Breckenridge, Colorado. My Dad was so excited when I asked him if he wanted to help me re-create this photo. He immediately started rushing around the house looking for the orange backpack, an old shovel, white painters pants and a blue sweatshirt. The next thing was finding the same exact spot that the original photo was taken in. That was the hardest part. After 31 years its amazing how much the land has changed and how many new trees had grown. So, to be honest, I don't think we got that part exactly right but oh well!
This was so much fun for all of us.
A few hours after we were finished my Dad came to me and said he'd had a vision of the next photo shoot with him wearing "Littles" baby....wow...could you imagine!?
DISCLAIMER: Do NOT attempt to wear your baby facing forward in a Mai Tie carrier. They are not ment to be worn this way. It was the only carrier I had with me and I wanted to re-create the photo as closely as I could get it. So she was only positioned this way for the photo.
